Cheese slicer is a household tool used to plan thin slices of hard cheese, the cheese grater is common in Nordic households but is not so common outside the Nordics.
 
Many people think that the cheese grater is a Swedish invention, but it was the Norwegian carpenter Thor Bjørklund from Lillehammer who in 1925 invented the world's first cheese grater.
